4. Accounts and Security
To use most features, you must register for an account with a valid email address and password. Email verification may be required before you can complete onboarding or access certain features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may apply reasonable safeguards to protect the service, including rate limits on registration and other abuse-prevention measures.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or store in Dufftur, including client data, gig details, invoices, contracts, expenses, and profile information ("Your Content").
You grant Dufftur a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the service as you direct through your account settings and feature usage. This includes displaying content you choose to make public or share through client portals.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide Your Content and that Your Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
6. Public Profiles and Client Portals
Dufftur allows you to publish a public profile at a username-based URL. Depending on your settings, public visitors may see information such as your name, username, avatar, whether you are accepting work, accent styling, social links, profile links, and your public inquiry form.
You may also enable public client trackers that share selected gig information with clients or collaborators. You control:
- Whether a tracker portal is enabled.
- What categories of information are visible through visibility settings.
- Whether access requires an optional passcode.
You are responsible for reviewing what you publish and share. Information you make public or share through a tracker may be viewed by anyone with access to the relevant URL, subject to any passcode you configure.
7. Third-Party Submissions
Visitors may submit inquiries or other information to you through public forms on your profile. When someone submits an inquiry, Dufftur stores the information they provide so you can review and respond. You are responsible for handling those submissions in accordance with applicable privacy and communications laws.
8. Social Features
Dufftur includes social features such as following other users and searching public profiles. Follow relationships are one-way unless both users choose to follow each other. Public search results are limited to information you have made available through your public profile.
9. Profile Links and Analytics
If you use profile links, Dufftur may record aggregated analytics about link clicks so you can understand how your links perform. Analytics are provided for your account management and do not grant Dufftur ownership of your linked content.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Dufftur for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Upload, publish, or share content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, or that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to access another user's private workspace data without authorization.
- Circumvent passcode protection, access controls, or other security measures.

- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the service to send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or spam.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
We may investigate violations and take action we deem appropriate, including removing content, restricting features, or suspending or terminating accounts.
11. Intellectual Property
Dufftur and its licensors own the service, including the software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, except for Your Content. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Dufftur trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about Dufftur, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
12. Third-Party Services
Dufftur relies on third-party providers to deliver parts of the service. For example, authentication, database hosting, file storage, and error monitoring may be provided by third parties such as Supabase and Sentry. Your use of those providers may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Dufftur may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
13. Plans and Billing
Dufftur may offer different account plans, such as free and paid tiers. Plan information may appear in your account settings and on our pricing page.
At this time, subscription billing and payment processing are not active in the product. Any pricing information displayed is for informational purposes and may change before paid plans launch. When paid plans become available, additional payment terms may apply and will be presented to you before you are charged.
14. User-Generated Legal and Business Documents
Dufftur provides tools that help you create invoices, contracts, and related business records. These tools are provided for convenience only.
Dufftur does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and enforceability of documents you create, including tax identifiers, payment terms, contract language, and compliance with laws that apply to your business and jurisdiction.
15. Service Availability and Changes
We strive to keep Dufftur available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or events outside our reasonable control.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes that significantly affect your use of core workspace features.
16. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dufftur is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that data will be preserved without loss, or that documents generated through Dufftur will be legally sufficient for your purposes.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dufftur and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dufftur and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the service.
- Your Content.
- Your public profile, trackers, or inquiry forms.
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
- Your violation of any third-party right.
19. Termination
You may stop using Dufftur at any time. You may request account deletion through your account settings. When you schedule deletion, your account enters a grace period before permanent removal. During that period, you may cancel the deletion request and restore access.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or if we discontinue the service.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
20. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
